News in brief: More than one Hundred Hong Kong artistes and directors were invited to Beijing by China Star's boss, HK film producer and presenter Charles Heung in a chartered flight for the a gala celebrating the opening of the Beijing apartments of which he and his wife are major investors on September 25, 2008. Also invited are prominent Chinese artistes Gong Li, Liu Yifei, HXM etc. Director Zhang Yimou was invited but was unable to come since he is presented at the Shenzhou VII rocket launch and sent his apologies as well a special DVD on the Olympics ceremony he directed. A number of Hong Kong celebrities made a special effort to attend e.g. Louis Koo who rushed back from Malaysia but a few were unable to made e.g. Cecilia Cheung.
